Welcome to the Lau Ola blog, where we are about much more than only medical cannabis.
I am involved with this company because I know medical cannabis will help our people in terms of their health and well-being. We will talk about that in this blog, and interview people whose lives are better because of it.
But it’s not only about cannabis at Lau Ola. We are a “triple bottom line” company, meaning we always think about our community and its future in three ways:
This is not new. I ran my former company Hamakua Springs Country Farms exactly the same way. It’s just the way I think and operate.
Now I bring this approach to Lau Ola. Everything we do here is tied to the social, environmental and/or economic sustainability of our community. We make our decisions based on what’s best for this island’s people, the ‘āina (land) and the economic sustainability of our community and its next generations.
Our goal with this blog is to support and share the positive things happening here in our Big Island community, encourage and impact what we hope to see more of and make a difference in the overall well-being of our island community.
